Dear Partners and customers,
We would like to update you on the current disruptions affecting major European ports, notably Rotterdam and Antwerp, due to ongoing labour actions.
🔹 Port of Rotterdam
Lashing operations resumed on October 13 following a court order, after several days of strike action linked to wage negotiations.
However:
- Vessel handling delays remain significant.
- Over 25 container vessels are still anchored offshore.
- Full recovery is not expected before the end of October.
- A new strike may resume as early as October 17 if no agreement is reached.
🔹 Port of Antwerp
A pilot strike continues to severely restrict maritime access.
In addition, a nationwide labour action is affecting operations at the Zandvliet traffic control center, halting all maritime traffic to and from the port (including inland shipping) until October 15 at 07:30.
Rail services are also beginning to experience delays.
At ATM, we remain fully mobilized to support you during this period. Our teams are actively monitoring the situation and working on alternative solutions to reduce the impact on your supply chain.
Thank you for your continued trust.
